Some Toyota/Lexus A340E/F and Aisin AW 60-41SN transmissions are equipped with a TCC control plunger valve and sleeve. This assembly is added to control the TCC lockup control valve with converter and solenoid fluid pressures. Due to the reciprocating movement of the OE steel valve in the cast aluminum sleeve, wear at the sleeve bore is a common occurrence. This results in reduced apply and release pressure to the converter, causing TCC apply/release concerns, slip codes, overheated fluid and burnt converters.
Installing Sonnax TCC control plunger valve kit 19741-01K can restore correct converter pressure control.
You need this if...
A vacuum test at the ports indicated fails to hold at least 18 in-Hg, or if visual wear is detected.
