- Adaptive limit codes
- Chatter on acceleration
- Delayed engagement
- Unstable solenoid pressure
Bore wear at the VSTV valve allows pressure escape that causes driveability issues.
Oversizing the bore and installing the Sonnax VSTV pilot pressure valve re-establishes proper modulated VSTV pilot pressure.
Oversized VSTV Pilot Pressure Valve
In VW/Audi 01J applications, the VSTV valve is the regulator to both N88 shift pressure and the N215 line pressure control solenoids. As the bore wears, solenoid output will not react according to the control module requirements, eventually setting adaption limit codes. The Sonnax oversized VSTV pilot pressure valve 33741B-07 allows the bore to be refurbished and restores the hydraulic integrity of the circuit for proper modulated VSTV pilot pressure.
