Symptoms:

Cause:

Severe bore wear at the TC pressure regulator valve bore.

Correction:

Recondition the bore and install Sonnax TC regulator valve kit to re-establish converter oil pressure and cooler flow.

In Jatco/Nissan RE5R05A units, severe wear of the TC pressure regulator valve bore results in leakage of converter release/lube/cooler oil pressure that compromises unit durability, resulting in damaged TCC linings, overheated converters and lube failures. Sonnax TC regulator valve kit 63741-17K salvages these valve bodies.

Hardcoat anodized aluminum valve combats premature wear
A new spring is included to allow proper calibration
Sleeve is manufactured of highly wear-resistant aluminum for increased durablility
