Symptoms:

Cause:

Excess wear in various bores allows pressure loss that causes drivability concerns.

Correction:

Recover hydraulic control and restore normal shift operation by reconditioning the bore and installing Sonnax oversized clutch cutoff valve kit.

Clutch cutoff valves in listed Aisin AW, Mini and AW/Audi transmissions are responsible for switching or relaying control pressure in their respective circuits. Over time, bore deterioration allows pressure loss that negatively affects circuit function. Depending on which bore is influenced, this can result in shift timing issues, harsh or soft shifts, burnt clutches, overheated fluid and failsafe mode. Reconditioning the bore and installing Sonnax oversized clutch cutoff valve kit 15741-63K eliminates excess wear for revived shift control in all ranges.
