Symptoms:

  • Gear ratio codes

Cause:

As the control bores wear, the clutch apply and release rate are negatively affected. Apply will generally take longer and release occurs too quickly. This leads to harsh, flare or bind shifts. The computer may code this as a gear ratio or solenoid mechanical issue.
