In Jatco/Nissan JF015E (RE0F11A) units, the primary pulley regulator valve controls oil pressure in the primary pulley circuit. A worn bore or valve spool can cause loss of oil pressure control in the primary pulley circuit. Symptoms that may indicate degraded primary pulley pressure control are: loss of higher gear ratios, high or low primary pulley pressure. Reconditioning the bore and installing Sonnax oversized primary pulley regulator valve 33741F-02K can restore optimal oil pressure in the primary pulley circuit.
