• Project Engineer

  Our Engineering Department is seeking a Project Engineer to join our product development team.

  This position is responsible for product development and design with a strong emphasis on design for manufacturability. The successful candidate will be part of a cross-functional team that designs, tests and reviews new drivetrain products for the automotive aftermarket.

  Qualifications and Skills:

  This position requires a strong working knowledge of the methods, processes and materials used in manufacturing precision metal and plastic parts, including aluminum die castings, steel and aluminum forgings, plastic molded components, and CNC machined components. Experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GDT), gear and spline design as well as shaft design is also required. Knowledge of the mechanical properties of materials and the effect of processes such as heat treatment and cryogenic treatment on material strength and durability are a plus.

  Minimum qualifications include a BS in Mechanical Engineering, METBS, ASME or AET degree with a minimum of 5 years related work experience and proficiency in 3D SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office suite. Knowledge of automotive drivetrain technology is desired but not required.
