POSITION OVERVIEW

The Director of Information Systems will partner with key business process owners and stakeholders and enable business solutions that ensure efficient and effective use of technology. Director will apply industry experiences and understanding of best practices, latest tools, processes and systems to enable people, including the management of existing technology assets and implementation of new capabilities. The Director will work collaboratively and manage people, processes, systems, and projects effectively to achieve on business goals and objectives.  This individual is an effective project manager who guides process governance to mitigate risks and realize opportunities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement technology policies, projects and goals for the IT/IS department and IT/IS related areas in alignment with the strategic plans of the company.
• Create and manage a risk based, business continuity plan for the company to ensure systems availability.
• Build, staff, develop and lead IT/IS operations team of sufficient capability to accomplish results.
• Analyze and evaluate company-wide and department business IT/IS requirements.
• Assess IT/IS systems and makes decisions on investments and implementation of future technology in partnership with other functional leaders.
• Plan strategies to effectively deploy new (or upgraded) information systems, technology, software, hardware and support services.
• Lead the changes required by an organizational wide technology roadmap.
• Communicate information concepts, explain technology processes in detail, and facilitate the interaction of IT/IS professionals, vendors, clients, and staff.
• Identify and implement opportunities for improvement. 
• Manage maintenance of current systems.
• Strategically manage vendor relationships, contracts and performance.
• Collaborate with leaders in other departments to reach goals within given time frames. 
• Provide excellent end user service.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, or a related field is required; MBA preferred.
• 8-10 years prior successful experience in IT/IS management. 
• Outstanding interpersonal & communication skills.
