  • Harsh shifts
  • Soft shifts

As the bore wears in Ford 4R100 and E4OD units, the accumulator pressure control valve will either remain inward, due to loss of balance oil, or stick outward. Inward position allows for full line to accumulator pressure and results in firm shifts. If the valve sticks outward toward the modulator sleeve and spring, accumulator pressure is low, resulting in soft, slide shifts. Sonnax oversized accumulator pressure control valve 36948-19 allows the worn valve body bore to be refurbished and restores accumulator pressure control.

  • Hardcoat anodized aluminum valve combats premature wear
  • The spring seat has been lengthened slightly to account for the oversized valve spools
  • Reamer tool kit 36948-TL works for E4OD, 4R100 and AX4N units
