Symptoms:

  • Delayed engagement
  • Low line rise & long shift duration
  • Flare shifts
  • Shift codes

Cause:

Bore wear reduces available pressure to both the pMod and pS control solenoids. Low pressure at these solenoids will reduce line boost and clutch feed pressure.

Correction:

Oversize the bore and install Sonnax oversized regulating valve pressure control valve and calibrated spring to re-establish hydraulic integrity.
