End plug wear allows valuable solenoid feed or secondary regulator pressure to leak, affecting shift quality and TCC control.


Correction:

Recover hydraulic control and renew critical circuit pressures by installing Sonnax O-ringed end plug kit.

OE end plugs are designed to prevent critical pressure loss by capping the bore, while also functioning as a spring or valve stop. Repetitive spring motion, valve impact and fluid pressure variations cause wear between the end plug and bore mating surface, allowing vital pressure to escape the circuit.

Aisin AW 60-41SN valve bodies have end plugs at the 1-2, 2-3 and 3-4 shift valves which seal signal oil required to stroke the valve. If excess wear occurs at the end plugs, shift concerns and loss of gear can occur. The end plug at the secondary regulator valve is also prone to wear, which can lead to converter-related concerns. Worn end plugs at the solenoid B1 modulator and neutral relay valves can lead to shift complaints as well.

Stop leaks and restore hydraulic integrity by installing Sonnax O-ringed end plug kit 19741-15K. Each plug features minimal end-plug-to-bore clearance and an added O-ring for positive seal.
