Cause:
Wear at the TCC control plunger valve sleeve allows converter apply oil leakage.Correction:

Continuous valve oscillation causes sleeve deterioration, allowing critical apply pressure to escape the circuit. This can result in lockup shudder, overheating, premature or bumpy apply and TCC slippage as well as a burnt converter. Installing Sonnax TCC control plunger valve kit 63741-25K restores critical clearances and stops pressure loss for renewed TCC operation.
