R5/V5A51 Solenoid Identification & Connector Pin Out

Valve Body Xpress

Solenoid Identification

The two green wires go to the transmission oil temperature sensor. All solenoids should measure 2.7-3.4 Ohms at 68°F.

Power (12V) to Overdrive, Underdrive and Second Solenoids
10
Power (12V) to TCC, Reduction and Low/Reverse Solenoids

Power for the solenoid comes from a dedicated 20-amp fuse to the automatic control relay, then splits at splice S075 with power going to the PCM, and to the solenoids. The wire going to the solenoids splits again at splice S150, and goes to pins 9 and 10 at the C-03 connector to the transmission internal harness.

All solenoids should measure 2.7-3.4 Ohms at 68°F. To test the solenoids through the internal harness connector, check the resistance between the terminals as shown.
