6L80, 6L90 Torque Converter Tech Advisory: Inner Stator Race Edge

Most GM 6L80, 6L90 (300mm) OE and Sonnax inner stator races (Sonnax GM-HR-16) have a chamfer on the mating edge which fits into the pocket of the mating turbine-side stator cap (Sonnax GM-WA-28).

It was recently discovered there is an OE version that has a sharp edge. Sonnax suggests these sharp edge versions be modified to include a .025" minimum X 45 degree chamfer. See the Figure 1 below.
