Symptoms:

High line pressure in Reverse
Overheated fluid & TCC lining
Bushing failure

Cause:

Wear at the inner bore results in excess pressure and reduced cooler/converter flow. Wear at the end plug allows oil loss, resulting in poor line rise.

Correction:

Refurbish the bore and install Sonnax oversized pressure regulator valve kit to eliminate poor line rise as well as excess pressure and overheating caused by valve and bore wear.

Aisin AW TR-60SN and VW/Audi 09D transmissions may exhibit multiple line pressure-related problems due to excessive wear in the main pressure regulator bore. Wear at the inner bore results in excess pressure and reduced cooler/converter flow. Wear at the plug end allows oil loss resulting in poor line rise and burnt clutches. Installing the Sonnax oversized pressure regulator valve kit 25741-01K corrects pressure loss problems and restores proper pressure regulation. The oversized valve and calibrated spring match OE valve response, and the multi-position endplug allows you to match the original factory setting.
