Symptoms:
- Inconsistent shift quality
- Flare shifts
- Bump shifts
- Clutch failure
- Bang shifts
- Shift codes
Cause:
Wear at the various end plugs allows critical circuit leakage of solenoid modulator, secondary regulator, line and Reverse pressures. These pressure losses impair control of the clutches, resulting in various shift complaints and eventual failure.Correction:

Wear at the various OE end plugs in Toyota/Lexus U140E, U140F, U240 and U241E units allows critical circuit leakage of solenoid modulator, secondary regulator and line pressures. These pressure losses impair control of the clutches, resulting in various shift complaints and eventual failure.
