Hyundai and Kia vehicles with an A4CF1, A4CF2 transmission may exhibit a multitude of drivability complaints and burnt clutches and/or brakes that can be caused by severe wear at the pressure control valves. These active valves are biased on both ends by modulated solenoid pressure to route line pressure to the apply components needed for different gears. As the bore wears, apply oil is allowed to exhaust, resulting in burnt clutches/brakes and shift complaints. The Sonnax oversized pressure control valve kit 84741-16K restores the critical hydraulic clearance between the valve and bore, and prevents future wear with highly wear-resistant materials, lengthened spools and annular grooves. An O-ringed end plug also is included to positively seal the pressure control solenoid feed pressure.
