Symptoms:

B2 Clutches burned
Delayed Reverse
No Reverse
Reverse slip

Cause:

Oscillation of the steel B2 apply control valve train prematurely wears the cast-aluminum bore, allowing regulated reverse clutch apply pressure to exhaust to the sump or cross leak to adjacent circuits.

Correction:

Restore proper hydraulic control by reconditioning the bore and replacing the worn valve train with the Sonnax oversized B2 apply control valve kit.

Toyota/Lexus U660E/F and U760E/F transmissions may exhibit delayed/slipping Reverse or no Reverse operation at all due to wear in the B2 apply control bore. The B2 apply control valve train regulates reverse clutch apply and release. If reverse slippage is not corrected in time, burnt B2 clutches can result. Sonnax oversized B2 apply control valve kit 47740-27K restores the necessary hydraulic clearances required for proper valve function, eliminating reverse apply issues.
