Vehicles with Jacto/Nissan JR710E, JR711E, JR712E and RE7R01A transmissions often exhibit shift abnormalities caused by wear in either or both of the pilot valve bores. This wear allows fluid loss which interferes with proper regulation of oil pressure supplied to control solenoids and piston switch valves, resulting in delayed engagements, erratic shifts and linear solenoid codes. Reconditioning the bore(s) and installing Sonnax oversized A and B pilot valve kit 103740-06K can restore hydraulic integrity to these circuits, returning normal shift operation and feel in all ranges. The hardcoat anodized aluminum valve combats premature wear.
Vacuum testing at the port(s) indicated fails to hold the recommended minimum in-Hg, or if wear is visually detected.
