Toyota/Lexus U341E and U341F lockup relay valve trains route converter feed fluid to the release side of the converter clutch, and apply fluid into the cooler circuit. Converter feed pressure at the lockup relay control plunger valve helps in positioning of the outboard lockup relay valve. Wear or sticking at either the relay or plunger valve bores can result in converter apply and release concerns, inadequate lubrication, overheated fluid and converter codes. Installing Sonnax oversized lockup relay valve kit 33740-11K restores critical clearances for renewed TCC control and operation.
There are two reaming processes. The plunger (inner) valve bore must be reamed first as the bench reamer jig needs to install into the OE relay valve bore. If the ouboard relay valve bore is reamed first the bench tooling will not work.
Sonnax valve body layouts provide a detailed overview of individual units making it quick and easy to determine what’s available for the specific valve body you’re working on. See all Sonnax valve body layouts.
Vacuum testing at the port(s) indicated fails to hold the recommended minimum in-Hg, or if wear is visually detected.
