Spotting the Changes to Ford 6R80 ’15-Later Valve Bodies

Symptoms:
- Broken parts due to excessive line pressure
- High line pressure
- Erratic line pressure
- Restricted converter/lube flow
Cause:
Excess valve and bore clearance allows critical line pressure balance fluid to cross leak to exhaust, causing high or erratic line pressure.Correction:
Sonnax drop-in, direct-replacement pressure regulator sleeve addresses sleeve wear and circuit integrity of line pressure balance in the pressure regulator circuit.Warning:
Verify OE valve and sleeve measurements before use.
There are some small diameter and length differences that can cause fit and pressure issues if mismatched into the wrong application. It is recommended to measure the locations shown here to verify that the correct OE or replacement part is fit into the appropriate application during rebuild.

You need this if... View Instructions Find a DistributorWear is commonly found at different areas in the Ford 6R80 '15-later pressure regulator bore. When the sleeve is worn, line pressure balance fluid will leak to exhaust, causing high or inconsistent pressure. When wear is limited to the sleeve, the Sonnax direct replacement pressure regulator sleeve 95740-44 will restore valve-to-sleeve clearances so the pressure regulator valve can maintain correct pressures. If the remainder of the pressure regulator bore is worn, consider Sonnax oversized pressure regulator valve kit 95740-01K.
