Jatco/Nissan JF016E (RE0F10D) and JF017E (RE0F10E) transmissions can have complaints associated with a worn plunger valve and sleeve, which includes TCC apply codes, burnt converter and converter shudder. This is due to the wear at the inside of the TCC switch plunger valve sleeve allowing oil to escape, which affects the timing and quality of the lockup clutch apply and release action. Installing Sonnax lockup control plunger valve kit 33510N-11K will restore correct clearances and maintain proper hydraulic control of the lockup control valve.
Vacuum testing at the port(s) indicated fails to hold the recommended minimum in-Hg, or if wear is visually detected.
