Cause:

Excess wear of the OE lockup boost sleeve/valve assembly allows main line pressure to cross-leak further down into the bore. This prevents proper hydraulic control of the lockup control valve.

Correction:

Restore proper hydraulic control and renew line pressure performance by replacing worn OE parts with a Sonnax drop-in lockup boost valve kit.

The lockup boost valve/sleeve assembly in Aisin Seiki AS66RC and AS69RC transmissions is prone to wear. As the sleeve oscillates from vibrational forces and the valve strokes over time, the wear that occurs prevents proper hydraulic control of the lockup control valve, resulting in a multitude of TCC complaints.
