Symptoms:

  • 3-4 Flare
  • Burnt Low/Reverse clutch
  • OD clutch burned
  • 4-5-6 Slip
  • Delayed Reverse
  • 4th Slip

Cause:

Valve bore wear results in loss of apply oil, sluggish valve movement and sticking valves causing shift complaints and clutch distress.

Correction:

Restore the correct valve/bore clearances and clutch control by reconditioning the bore and installing Sonnax oversized low reverse/overdrive (4-5-6) clutch regulator valve kit.
