During removal of the OE snap ring that retains the piston in Toyota UA80E/F and UB80E/F converters, the ring retaining plate is often damaged, rendering the snap ring unreliable at mid- to upper-RPMs. Discarding the OE snap ring and retaining plate and installing Sonnax spiral snap ring ZF-SR-1 ensures security in all RPM ranges.
