Symptoms:

No shift

Cause:

Excessive wear in the feed limit high valve bore allows pressure loss that causes clutch failure and shifting concerns.

Correction:

Reconditioning the bore and installing Sonnax oversized feed limit high valve kit overcomes bore wear, restores proper valve function and prevents future wear occurrence.

The feed limit high valve in listed GM transmissions limits line pressure feed to the boost ball system for "C" and "F" clutch controls. Excessive wear in the feed limit high valve bore allows pressure leakage, which can be the source of shift problems and clutch failure.

Installing Sonnax oversized feed limit high valve kit 105740-60K corrects circuit pressures and restores proper valve functions.

Note

The OE feed limit low and high valves are at high risk for premature wear and failure. Replace both valves in every build even if there are no transmission problems and the valves pass a vacuum test.

You can use the F-124740-TL48 with the VB-FIX or you can use the 144740-TL bench tool kit if you do not have the VB-FIX.
