Sonnax offers heavy duty Piston/Damper Assembly FD-DA-14 for late model single plate E4OD converters. In extremely high torque applications the standard, single plate damper springs bottom, causing harsh starts and possible spline damage due to impact loading. This design has five additional nested springs to increase dampening capacity.
