6R60 Bonded Gasket Overlap Issues & Corrections
Some gaskets on the updated Ford 6R60 OE bonded separator plates are not the correct size for the steel plate, causing some overlap of the holes. This results in high line pressure.
The holes marked (Figure 1) represent the holes found to be partially blocked. Gage pins can be used to resize the holes, restoring correct pressures.

There are four hole sizes:
- Yellow holes use a 0.154” dia. gage pin (8)
- Black holes use a 0.110” dia. gage pin (4)
- Red holes use a 0.118” dia. gage pin (38)
- Blue holes use a 0.098” dia. gage pin (6)

Valve Body Separator Plate 95740-510
Use the ZF6 Valve Body Separator Plate Application Chart to determine which plate is required. The plates are not specific by transmission model, but rather by valve body code and also by the stamped number.
