Sonnax open thrust bearing HO-N-6 is a direct replacement for worn or damaged bearings in Honda B7TA/B7VA/B7YA converters. This is the recommended replacement when the race and impeller hub contact surfaces are in good condition.
However, it is best to use enclosed bearing JA-N-13 in place of the impeller-side open bearing if either race or impeller bearing surfaces are worn, and especially after the OE hub has been replaced due to annealing and warping of the bearing backup surface.
Stator bore modification is required to use enclosed bearing JA-N-13 to replace the open bearing.
