Sonnax enclosed bearing JA-N-13 is a direct replacement for worn or damaged bearings in Jatco RE5R05A converters. In addition, in Honda B7TA/B7VA/B7YA converters, the enclosed bearing JA-N-13 is recommended in place of the open bearing when replacing the OE impeller hub due to annealing and warping of the bearing backup surface of replacement impeller hub HO-90-4G when welding it in place.
Stator bore modification is required to use enclosed bearing JA-N-13 to replace the Honda open bearing.
