Symptoms:

  • Premature wear & bushing failure
  • Harsh shifts
  • Gear ratio & solenoid codes
  • Code P0741
  • TCC apply & release concerns
  • Clutch failure

Cause:

Premature wear due to sub-optimal OE bushing material allows fluid loss and misalignment that can result in harsh shifting and clutch failure.

Correction:

Install improved Sonnax bushing kit to restore critical clearances and resist untimely wear.

Warning:

Use of an arbor press is required for correct installation. Do not use a hydraulic press or a bushing driver/hammer combination to install, as doing so may distort the bushing and cause fitment issues.

OE bushings in GM 6L45 and 6L50 transmissions have a tendency to wear out prematurely due to sub-optimal material composition. This wear can lead to bushing failure, harsh shifts, burnt clutches and gear ratio or solenoid codes. Sonnax bushing kit 104030-01K restores worry-free operation.

  • Upgraded material composition outperforms OE bushings
  • Superior wear characteristics eliminate premature deterioration

For GM 6L80 and 6L90, use 104030A-01K.
