Symptoms:
- Excess converter pressure
- Converter shudder & TCC slip
- Low converter pressure
- Overheated converter
- Damaged converter
Cause:
Excess wear/clearance at the inboard converter limit valve spool leads to unwanted converter pressure loss. Debris damage at the outboard valve spool creates binding that can stick the valve in either a high or low converter pressure position.Correction:
Recover hydraulic control and renew TCC performance by installing Sonnax drop-in converter limit valve kit that features a drop-in sleeve/valve assembly to compensate for wear and excess clearance, even in worn bores.6R140
