Cause:

Bore wear allows critical converter/lube oil to leak to exhaust at both ends of the valve.

In ZF6HP21/28/34 (Gen. 2) valve bodies, severe wear of the lubrication control valve bore results in loss of converter pressure, cooler flow and critical lube feed resulting in overheating as well as bushing, bearing and planet failures. The Sonnax oversized lubrication control valve kit 95740-71K restores the function of the lube control valve and limits oil loss due to a worn bore.

  • Kit fits either M-shift or E-shift valve bodies
