Symptoms:
- Downshift clunk
- Firm shifts
- Erratic EDS solenoid control and/or EDS codes
Cause:
OE accumulator piston bumpers lose elasticity and take a set due to long term heat and fluid exposure.Correction:

The OE accumulator piston bumpers are worn, brittle or missing. Examine the bumpers closely for flat spots or cracks. Be sure that used bumpers quickly return to their original shape after deformation.
